ALBUM RELEASE PARTY

Updated: Jul 25, 2023

We are extremely blessed and thankful for everyone that attended the EP release party, presented by our publishing company, Huikau Club. It technically became an "album" release party because we had no idea Spotify was actually gonna recognize "Achy Luminescence" as an album and not an EP. According to our research, an album is classified as about 30 minutes or longer. Our album was like 29 minutes. lol.

Any who, it was a packed house over at The Crossroads in Hawaiian Brian's. We had initially set up the room with barricades of curtains blocking out the sides of the dance floor, thinking we were not going to need that much room. But amazingly, we had to expand those frames because of an overwhelming turn out!

Soon after our return home from our first California tour, we decided to release our overdue album. We were pretty tired, but the opportunity presented itself and the main stage of Hawaiian Brian's coincidentally freed itself and was available on the perfect weekend to throw a release party.

In my head, I just wanted a small get together with some friends to celebrate our project. The worst part of throwing parties to me...is the cleanup after. Which was a horror story that might take another blog to tell. lol.

Well long story short. With the help of Huikau Club, we whipped out this show featuring music by some of our fave musicians we had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know over time through the local music scene: The Mauve, Goon Lei Goon, Kill Tuco and The Wide Eyed Kids. Such talented and kind-hearted people. If you're reading this, thank you for making this night so special! We also stirred up our very own indie mosh pit and saw a friend crowd surf. Seeing everyone have a great time made our hearts so warm and full of love. Like so much overwhelming love we were just like OMGAHH what to do with it all?! (side note this topic also calls for another related blog soon)

This has definitely been a significant moment of our musical journey so far and can only wish for grander occasions in the future!

There were so many familiar faces of close friends, family, acquaintances, friends of friends, and actual strangers. Which amazes me!

Thank you thank you thank you THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU everyone that made this night special, and those who did come in spirit!
